We all know how Guns N Roses and Nirvana didn’t get along in the 90s – well, Axl and Kurt, anyway. However, the bands’ former bass players had a blast with each other recently.

Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan has been out on a book tour promoting his How to Be a Man page turner and invited some special guests out for his return home to Seattle at the Neptune Theater. Pearl Jam‘s Mike McCready made the trip out to introduce the truly unique pairing of McKagan with another Seattle favorite – Nirvana‘s Krist Novoselic. But what made the union even more intriguing is that Novoselic was sporting an accordion upon entering the stage. As the two rockers sat down to play, it soon became clear that Novoselic was rocking Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child o’ Mine” to the delight of the crowd.
